From practicing volleyball or basketball to finishing her English homework, Natalie Calvert is always doing something.  Natalie, a senior this year, has been on, “both the basketball and volleyball teams every year,” of her high school career.

Natalie tore her ACL during a basketball game one night, and had to sit out the rest of the season.  It was really hard for her to go to all the practices and not be able to participate, but she kept her spirits up by “always reminding myself that I would come back.”

Even though she could not play, she always remained proud of her team, in fact, a few of her proudest moments are, “when the volleyball team won its second regional title in a row, and when the basketball team won its third consecutive regional title.”

When Natalie started playing again, she re-tore her ACL.  But, always the optimist, Natalie has high hopes for coming back in time to play in a few volleyball games.

Along with being a gifted athlete, Natalie is a very determined student.  She works hard to make sure all her homework is taken care of the day before it is due.

One of her favorite subjects is English class, especially with Mrs.Howard. Even though Natalie is very busy, she always make sure to take time for herself, and to do the things she loves.
