Senior Speech team member Andres Sanchez is this week’s Pirate Competitor of the Week sponsored by Galena Culver’s and the Galena Gazette. On Saturday at the IHSA Regional hosted by Sterling High School, Andres placed 6th in the Impromptu Speaking category.  According to coach Susan Bookless, “Andres had a great season, worked really hard, and improved each week.” Andres was honored with a gift basket from the Galena Culver’s, as well as a newspaper courtesy of the Galena Gazette.
