“It was good, but in a way, I’m ready to come back.” Lillie Anderson says about the end of her summer and the beginning of the school year. She’s going to be giving a lot up when she returns to GHS, like her jobs downtown at a store, the ARC, and The Log Cabin. While she spent a lot of her time working, she was glad to not be sitting at home. However, with school starting, she will be spending less time with the people she has seen all summer.

Despite not being able to spend as much quality time with her friends, family, and boyfriend, she’s not worried that her return to school will affect her relationship with these people. “It will definitely be different, because at school we can’t interact the way we normally do, but it will still be nice to see Sam (boyfriend) and my friends everyday.”

Unfortunately the start of the school year means more than just a schedule change. One of the only things Lillie is worried about this year is the stress from all the homework she is going to get from the hard classes she is taking, including A.P. United States History, A.P. Psychology online, and physics.

On top of her classes, Lille is very involved in extracurricular activities. Some of them being golf, soccer, drama club, and student council. When you mix everything she has going on together, it is apparent that she is going to be very busy this school year.

Despite the likelihood that she will experience some stress this year, Lillie is excited.“While it's definitely going to be hard at times, this year is going to be so much fun and I’m really excited to be a junior.”
