Sam Hodgson moved to Galena over the summer from Stockton, IL. Although it was only a couple miles, it still took some time to get used to. He was coming to a new school with new people. Sam met friends fast, one of them was Lillie Anderson. He quickly met Lillie and soon became close with all her friends.
He is into photography and likes to take pictures of everything. “I like to get the best perspective when I take my pictures,” said Sam Hodgson. Not only does Sam like to take pictures, but he also likes to play the guitar and has been playing for as long as he could remember.
Sam is still trying to get into the flow of things here at GHS, but he already likes it better than his old school. “There is a more variety of classes here,” said Sam. He also likes the block-schedule better than the standard schedule, which he had at his other school. “I feel like I have more opportunities here,” said Sam.
Although Sam likes it in Galena, he does have some dislikes. He doesn’t like how busy downtown is with all the tourist. He thinks it’s frustrating to deal with, and I think most of the citizens of Galena could agree.
