Wasmund said “We are a very young team and lost a lot of our senior leaders and I realized that I had to step up and fill the role of the leader on the court.” Following close behind her was Mackenzie Muehleip 20’ with a total of 12 points. Muehleip had four made free throws and four two-pointers in the game.
Muehleip said “We were not making our shots which has been a problem lately so we really need to focus on shooting in practice because I feel like we definitely could have beat them if we had made more of our shots.”
Overall the record is 8-4 for the season. The Pirates faced the Pecatonica Indians on Saturday, December 15th at 1pm at Pecatonica and beat them by a score of 51-43.
