Myles Schumacher- Varsity Football
Myles played a significant role in the Pirates big win over Forreston 19-18 last Friday night. Myles had 22 carries for 140 yards and one rushing touchdown. He also had 2 receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown. Coach Freed said, “Myles is off to a great start this season at running back. This is his second game with over 100 yards. He is seeing the field well and has been very explosive this season. His reception on the screen pass that scored the go ahead touchdown was a big time run after the catch with only 2 minutes left in the game. Myles has worked hard on improving his game and we look forward to seeing what he can do the rest of the season!”

Lauren Ehrler-7th Grade Volleyball
Coach Amy McCoy said, “Lauren Ehrler is one of our setters and last week in our matches she had a total of 8 assists and 6 ace serves. She has come a long way this year so far. She is getting more and more confident in her setting and being more aggressive. She knows the game very well and is always willing to help those out that are struggling. Keep up the great work Lauren!”
Alaina Heller – 8th Grade Volleyball
Coach Kailyn Stumpf commented, “Alaina had a stellar week in volleyball, leading the team in victories over both Seton and Warren. Overall, Alaina had 11 kills against both Seton and Warren. Alaina is quick on her feet, aggressive, and an overall smart player. She works hard both on and off the court. Many of her teammates look to her for support and leadership. Way to go, Alaina!
Julia Dominiak-Girls Golf
Coach Dave Hahn said, “Julia is one of the reasons we are 5-0 this season. She has been a medalist three times. I gave her the goals to achieve and she has worked very hard to improve her game to her lowest score this year with a 44. Her dedication and senior leadership at our practices is only going to make our team better.”
Lex Abt-Boys Golf
Coach Greg Fleege commented, “This past week Lex shot his lowest score ever with a 49 at a course he never played before at Lynx golf course in Winnebago. I like to see him gaining confidence in himself. Looking forward to the future seeing him improving his game.”
