Mya McCoy Varsity Volleyball – Coach Dennis Wills said, “Mya had a great week for us and was a huge contributor in our two wins. She has established herself as a force with her strong net play. Mya had 11 kills, 13 digs, 5 blocks, and was 28/30 with 5 aces serving. Great job Mya!”

Chloe Kaiser – 8th Grade Volleyball – Coach Katelyn Stumpf said, “Chloe has been a solid, go-to player since the start of the season. She strives to learn more about the game and works hard to strengthen her skills. Chloe is also a supportive teammate, on and off the court. She has contributed greatly to our wins this week against East Dubuque, Scales Mound, and Stockton with 5 aces and 7 kills overall. Way to go, Chloe!”
Gus Nack – Varsity Football – Gus had a big role in the Pirate’s victory over Dakota Friday night 43-6 to become playoff eligible. Gus led the team with 10 tackles. Coach Ed Freed said, “Gus had a good game at linebacker as he is continuing to improve making his reads and is always flying around. Gus also had some big blocks as a pulling guard on some long explosive runs we had.”
Zach Heller – Varsity Football – Zach also had a good night at Dakota on both sides of the ball in the Pirate’s victory. Coach Freed said, “Zach continues to improve on the offensive line in his first year at this position. He is someone who is very consistent and knows his assignments. On defense, he is doing a nice job and has stepped up for us the last couple of weeks to give our defensive line a boost.”
