Pirate Co-Competitor’s of the Week
Gracie Furlong Varsity Volleyball – Coach Wills said, “Gracie had an awesome week for us and had a huge role in us winning our 10th regional championship in a row. She turned in a strong performance against Scales Mound with 12 kills and 8 digs, but then Gracie followed that up with a stellar performance against Eastland by having 16 kills and 12 digs. Great job Gracie!”
Braden Kevern Varsity Football – Braden had a big game on Saturday in the playoffs helping the Pirates to a huge comeback win against Stark County 43-42. Coach Freed said, “Braden had 3 receptions for 90 yards. He made some big catches and his 67 yard touchdown in the 4th quarter was a big play to get some momentum back along with his catch on the 1 yard line to set up the winning TD and extra point. He has made some very explosive plays this season for us as he has 17 catches for an impressive 22 yard average on the season. Nice job Braden!”
