Congratulations to Gus Nack who is this week’s Pirate Competitor of the Week. Gus had a big day helping the Pirates win over Ottawa Marquette in the second round of the playoffs 33-6. Coach Freed said, “Gus had a huge day at linebacker as he had 8 tackles and an amazing 5 tackles for loss. He also had an interception with a nice return and a fumble force. Gus had a great week of preparation as we asked him to be our quarterback on defense making the calls and getting everyone lined up. Our defense played great as the Varsity pitched a shutout and Gus played a big role. Gus continually improves each week making his reads and he always brings great effort. We are excited to see what he can do for the rest of his career!”
