Block Blast has become the newest addiction for everyone who breathes air. Block Blast is a popular puzzle game. The game aims to match and clear as many blocks as possible. Once you start blasting it’s hard to stop. “I physically can’t put my phone down when I start playing. It is the best game ever but at the same time it makes me hate it when the pieces don’t go where I want them,” said Cameron Einsweiler ‘26.
In Block Blast, the goal is to get the highest score possible. Clearing the board gets the most points. When you get on a role there will be a pink heart around your current score. When you die in a block blast you have the choice to watch a video to revive yourself. Many people consider watching the video as cheating. “If you watch ads to keep going, your score doesn’t count and you’re a cheater,” said Violet Doyle ‘26.
While others think that it is perfectly fine (it’s not fine). “It is not cheating because everyone has an equal opportunity to watch the videos and they don’t take advantage of it when they have the same opportunity as me, so people can’t be mad!” said Kallan Kropp ‘26
What most people don’t realize is that Block Blast takes a lot of practice. “I was pretty bad at first but now there is no stopping the law (snorts),” said Ell Law ‘27
You have two modes to choose from when you begin the game adventure or classic. Adventure mode has levels you have to pass to continue. It starts with blocks on the board and you must work around them. Classic mode begins with a clear board that you want to keep clear or have the least amount of blocks. “I like how the adventure mode are like mini challenges and everyone is different. I enjoy playing it because you get to keep doing the same level until you complete it,” said Mrs. Bookless
Block Blast is way more than just a stupid game. Whether you’re looking for a simple game or a quick mental workout block blast has something for everyone. Dive in and see how far you can go in this addictive puzzle game.
