Pirate Competitor of the Week
Klayton Kampmeier 7th Grade Basketball – Coach Tim Vincent said, “In four games this past week, Klayton scored 34 points and has been playing more aggressively over the course of the season. He has been finishing well on fast breaks and has added 3 point shooting to his game over the course of the season. Klayton often matches up against the strongest guard because he is so strong defensively and has been versatile enough to guard post players as well.”
Other Nominations
Gracie Furlong Varsity Basketball – Gracie averaged 35 points, 8.5 steals, 6 assists and 4 rebounds per game in her first two games of the season. Gracie also set the girls basketball single game scoring record with 42 points vs Warren on the opening night! Coach Jamie Watson said, “Gracie has had an amazing start to the season. She is scoring at will and still playing unselfish basketball while leading the team in assists. She’s continuing to grow as a player and is poised to have an incredible season.”
Brycen Sincock 8th Grade Basketball – Brycen Sincock led the team in scoring in both games last week vs Benton and Shullsburg. Coach Greg Tancrell said, “He averaged 15 points last week. He does a great job playing hard and getting offensive rebounds. He is the master of the Brady drill!”
