Galena High School boasts a unique student body, featuring both triplets and twins. The Class of 2028 includes Addison, Alexa, and Avery Stroyan, while the Class of 2025 is home to twins Ben and Carly Miller.
Carly Miller describes a strengthened bond with her twin brother, saying, “I feel like Ben and I used to disagree when we were younger, but now we both hang out and share some of the same friends. It’s fun to have a twin brother, especially when I need to talk to someone. It’s like having a built-in best friend!” However, the sibling dynamic isn’t without its moments. As Ben Miller recounts, “One time she took my car, and I got fired up. Even though we might fight here and there, she’s still my sister.”
The experience of being a triplet offers a different perspective. Addison Stroyan, Class of 2028, shares, “Some days I enjoy being triplets, and some days I don’t. I like having built-in best friends, and we are all on the same volleyball team and play the same sports. Our mom dressed us up the same when we were younger, especially for our birthdays and Halloween costumes.”
Alexa Stroyan, Addison’s identical triplet sister, highlights the constant companionship: “The great thing about being a triplet is that you always have someone to talk to when you’re bored and someone to play games with. Plus, you never feel alone because you always have your sisters by your side.”
Avery Stroyan, the third triplet, points to the academic advantages: “Some advantages of being a triplet are that you can always talk to someone about schoolwork. Since we’re all in the same grade and pretty much the same classes, we can work on homework together and compare answers. If we got different answers, we would talk through them with each other to solve the right answer.”
In conclusion, whether as triplets or twins, the sibling bonds at Galena High School offer both unique joys and challenges.
