Galena Junior Varsity Pirates took the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the first thanks to two ground outs.
Galena Junior Varsity Pirates committed an error, which helped Warren/Stockton Junior Varsity Warhawks tie the game at three in the top of the seventh.
Dillon Belken started on the bump for Galena Junior Varsity Pirates. The righty gave up two hits and two runs (zero earned) over four and one-third innings, striking out seven and walking none. Beau Janecke stepped on the hill first for Warren/Stockton Junior Varsity Warhawks. The hurler gave up six hits and three runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out nine and walking two.
Owen Berning, Jack Vincent, Jacob Loso, Dillon Belken, Brant Romer, and John Sheets each collected one hit for Galena Junior Varsity Pirates. Haadi Khatib and Jacob Loso were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Galena Junior Varsity Pirates. John Sheets stole two bases.
