Pirate Competitor of the Week – Addison Zmich Varsity Softball
Addison went 6 for 14 at the plate, batting .428 with 5 runs scored, a HR, 3 RBI’s & 2 walks. Coach Ryan Zmich said, “Addison has played great defense all year and helped the Pirates win the Pearl City tournament this weekend.”

Layla Schemehorn JV Softball Coach Sarah Rosenthal said, “Layla had a great week! She pitched back to back JV games against East Dubuque earning wins for both, striking out 14 batters between both games. Then, she stepped in and closed out the last game in the Varsity Pearl City tournament, striking out three. This girl’s future looks bright for Galena Softball.”
