Galena Junior Varsity Pirates took the lead, 3-2, in the top of the fifth thanks to singles by John Sheets, and Graham Miller.
Galena Junior Varsity Pirates committed an error, which helped Lena-Winslow tie the game at three in the bottom of the fifth.
Dillon Belken began the game for Galena Junior Varsity Pirates. The starter gave up three hits and three runs (two earned) over five innings, striking out six and walking three. Brody Cox began the game for
Lena-Winslow. The pitcher gave up two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out seven and walking four.
Adam Simmons, Brant Romer, Graham Miller, and John Sheets each collected one hit for Galena Junior Varsity Pirates. John Sheets led Galena Junior Varsity Pirates with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Landen Lange led Galena Junior Varsity Pirates with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying seven walks for the game.
