Other Nominations
Lola Scharpf – 8th Grade Volleyball – Coach Kailyn Stumpf commented, “Lola played a huge role in both wins this week over Belmont and Scales Mound. Overall, Lola had six kills and several successful plays on defensive at the net. Lola always has a positive attitude on and off the court. Her willingness and determination to work hard in practice really shows in games. I’m excited to see her continue to grow this season!”
Owen Hefel Varsity Football – Coach Kyle Knight said, “Owen Hefel had a great debut snagging 5 passes for 58 yards and one touchdown. Owen also played great on defense with an interception from his safety position. Owen has some of the best hands in the conference and has improved his strength and athleticism this past summer which has made him much more explosive in the pass game and as a tackler.”
Drew Koenigs Varsity Football – Coach Kyle Knight said, “Drew Koenigs had an awesome return to football as he had 3 catches for 54 yards and a touchdown. Drew also had the game sealing interception. Drew is an incredible athlete whose leaping ability gives him a great advantage over smaller defenders. He will be a matchup problem for the rest of the season.”
