Have you ever wondered how to boost your confidence, think on your feet, and master public speaking? Don’t just take our word for it—listen to what former Speech Team members have to say:
“Speech built my confidence and taught me how to think quickly.”
“It got me out of my comfort zone and gave me an outlet for my emotions.”
“Speech prepared me for making relationships and gave me the confidence to speak in front of people, personally and professionally.”
“It allows me to speak out for what I believe in and has opened up opportunities.”
The Speech Team isn’t just about competition; it’s about gaining a community, building a lifetime of memories, and developing essential skills that will serve you in every class, every job interview, and every passion project you pursue. Want to learn more about joining this dynamic team? Join us on Friday during Homeroom in Mrs. Bookless’ room!
There will be no CTE attendance tomorrow. All B Day CTE students MUST sign out in the office after their lunch period. Not doing so will count as being truant.
Congratulations to the Volleyball teams who won their games against Stockton at last night’s Fight Night home games. In JV action, Lucy Heller led the team with five kills and Alivia Northrup went 10 for 11 from the serving line and had three aces for the night. The varsity team had to dig deep to win their two matches against the Blackhawks. Leading the team in kills were Mya McCoy, Kendra Bauer and Macie Weber. At the serving line Bauer went 10 for 11 with one ace and Weber had a perfect night with 7/7. Emma Ehrler put up another 19 assists and McCoy, Jayme Frank and Kendra Bauer led with digs. It was an exciting night that went down to the wire. Congratulations Pirates. Make sure to come to GEMS on Thursday night to celebrate this year’s seniors.
