Cameron Spillane, Staff Writer
Having to juggle sports and academics, Cameron Spillane became a professional at multitasking. With dedication and support from his family and peers, Cam has worked hard to make the All-Tournament Team in the Eastland Tournament.
Cameron motto is simply, “trying to be the best I can be.”
Spending countless hours in the gym working on the little things that really make the difference between a good and a great basketball player. “Going to the gym when nobody was there has really helped me develop my skills to be the player I am today,” said Cameron.
Cameron also overcame struggle when he was diagnosed with tendonitis in not one, but both of his knees. Having a constant struggle holding him back from his personal goals, he had to make the smart decision and make time for himself for healing.
Other than sports, Cameron has ranked high in his class. His hard work and ability to multitask has paid off with improvement in sports and also in his school-work.
“Getting my homework done early and on time has always been a major priority for me,” said Cameron Spillane.
After high school Cameron plans on attending a university known for engineering, then getting an entry level job to help him grow in his profession. Becoming a financially stable adult is one of Cameron’s main goals while having to support a family. Also, one of Cameron’s strengths is being quick witted and has a great mindset of never satisfied with being ‘average.’
