Stephanie Soppe is a Junior who attends Galena High School. “The school sucks. Need air,” said Stephanie Soppe, “More air and AC.” Although she is bothered by the heat of the school, she focuses on her schoolwork to get closer to her dream job: Nursing.

Throughout her years in middle school, she has been fascinated by the people in the healthcare field. Nurses and caretakers have always been a part of our society. Whether it is working in nursing homes or rushing patients to the hospital, they’ve been helping others since the beginning. Now, she plans on joining the caretakers of the world. “It’s rewarding because you get to take care of people that need help,” said Stephanie.

Stephanie Soppe currently works at Galena Stauss Nursing Home. Working there, she creates personal bonds with the residents there and has learned from her experiences there. “We had a fire drill and we were new. We had NO idea what to do,” Stephanie said.
After graduating, Stephanie Soppe plans on either attending NICC or online school for 2-4 years. She plans on majoring in nursing. Once obtaining her degree, she plans on continuing her career as a nurse in a nursing home.
