Attention GHS, The National Arts Honor Society is putting on an show this winter! This is their 7th annual gallery show. Every year the students who belong to the NAHS- including some of your classmates- get together and vote upon a theme for the show. This year the theme is “Out of Place”.

NAHS has 17 members spanning the districts of Galena, River Ridge, Scales Mound, Stockton, and West Carroll. All of these members will create their own interpretation of the phrase “Out of Place” in a unique art piece.

These works of art will be on display from December 2, 2016 through the beginning of January 2017 at the Freeport Art Museum. However, on December 6, the artist will be hosting a gallery opening from 5pm-7pm.

The event is is sponsored by CTE Academy Graphics Teacher Irene Thraen-Borowski, Scales Mound Art Teacher Sara Wentz, Stockton Art Teacher Dorothy Ramey, and West Carroll Art Teacher Kelsie VonHollen.

Light refreshments will be provided and admission is free! All are welcome and encouraged to attend, “Expect to see some amazing artwork and get to speak with the artists that created it.” Thraen-Borowski says.

Come to Freeport Art Museum: 121 N Harlem Ave, Freeport and support your fellow classmates and community members at the 7th annual gallery show by the NAHS!
