On Thursday, Jan. 4, the JV boys basketball  team beat the Stockton Blackhawks on their home court. The Pirates came out strong, but the game got closer as it went on. The final score of the game was 40-36 with the Pirates on top.

The score leader of the game was Ryan Holland ‘21 with 12 points. Holland’s offensive plays helped the Pirates stay ahead in the game. He was 6 for 6 on his free throws for the evening.

Peyton Bauer ‘21 followed with eight points and then Conor Behr ‘21 with seven. “We all worked together and did our own jobs,” said Holland ‘21.

After an unplanned second winter break, the Pirates hope to come back out strong. The Pirates will play the Le-WIn Panthers on Saturday, February 2nd at 11am. There will be a “Black Out” fundraiser with a chilli lunch, silent auction, and the girl’s game to follow.

Saturday will be an action packed day for the Pirates.
