The Galena/ East Dubuque/ River Ridge boys track team took second place at their home meet on Thursday, May 2. This meet was also senior night. The team finished with 117 points.

There are three seniors on from Galena that have participated on the tri-op team for all four years. The seniors include Keiran DuPlessis ‘19, Victor Trujillo ’19, and Richard Kern ’19. “I can’t believe senior season is almost over” said Kern.

DuPlessis placed first in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.51 seconds. The 400 meter relay with Dylan Schermerhorn ‘20, Damian Stephanopoulos ’20, and Keiran Duplessis ‘19 placed second with a 46.30. “I am very proud of how our relay team finished.” said Schermerhorn, “We were so close to getting first”.

Stephanopoulos also placed second in long jump with a distance of  11’10.00.

The boys will compete at Milledgeville on Monday, May 6. Congrats seniors and good luck on the rest on the season.
