Pirate Competitor of the Week – January 11, 2022

Sophomore basketball player Connor Glasgow is this week’s Pirate Competitor of the Week sponsored by Galena Culver’s and the Galena Gazette. This week Connor helped the Pirates to a 2-1 record by averaging 16 points, 11 rebounds and 3 blocks per game. Coach Matt Wienen praised the effort, saying “Connor is an amazing talent.  He has the ability to change any game with his ability to drive to the basket at any time, shoot from anywhere on the floor, defensively rebounding and block shots. He is a game changing player!  I’m looking forward and excited to watch Connor excel the rest of the season and bloom into the best player he can be!”  Connor was honored with a gift basket from the Galena Culver’s, as well as a newspaper courtesy of the Galena Gazette.
