Pirate Competitor of the Week  (October 24, 2022) Addie Hefel Varsity Volleyball – Addie had 13 Kills, 20/20 with 3 aces on serves, 4 assist, 4 blocks, and 17 digs with wins over Scales Mound and West Carroll to help clinch the conference title. Coach Wills commented, “Addie is such a great, well rounded athlete! She excels in all areas on the volleyball court and does a fantastic job for us. We know when we need it that we can depend on her to come through for us and she has done that all year long. She played a huge role in our wins over Scales Mound and West Carroll this past week with (#’s above). Great job Addie!”

Zach Heller Junior Varsity Football – Zach ran for 2 touchdowns against DuPec last Monday night in a big win 38-16.  Coach Decker said, “Zach played well on both sides of the ball.  He was physical with the ball in his hands and made a lot of plays on defense.  He has been a leader for our JV group when he has played with us.”

John Wubben Varsity Football – John helped lead the Pirates to a season ending win against West Carroll 67-0 on Friday night. John had a 48 yard touchdown pass and 3 tackles.  Coach Freed commented, “John has done a good job all year being a leader for our team. It’s not easy being a quarterback and middle linebacker in our conference and he showed a lot of toughness and improvement throughout the season.  I really appreciate John’s commitment to our program all year round. He is someone you can also count on to give his best and always put the team first.”
