Ava struck out 20 Stockton/Warren batters to lead Galena to a 5-4 victory in 9 innings on Wednesday over Stockton/Warren. This big win put them ahead of Stockton/Warren in the conference standings and in sole possession of second place in conference behind Fulton. Coach Westemeier said, “It was her strongest outing of the year and was a big win. Ava has averaged over 10 strikeouts a game and is batting an impressive .433.”
