Kristen’s photography
Click! Snip! Flash! We are all familiar with the standard camera, even if we don’t necessarily own a professional Cannon, most of us have cell phones. In fact, it was the cellphone that first sparked Kristen Bowling’s love of photography. When Kristen first obtained a cellphone she recalls taking thousands upon thousands of photos with her new gadget, many of these photos were of the ever popular selfie medium.
If the aspiring photographer had any other devices she liked to use for her pictures, she said that she only had her phone but would like to acquire a true, professional camera for her desired field.
Kristen had additional classes dedicated to photography and plans to get additional schooling for photography. She said that she planned to take Ms. Seise’s photography class and be involved in photography at the CTE Graphic Communications Program. When it came to additional schooling Kristen said that she hadn’t looking into it much but was planning to attend a college somewhere in Michigan. Kristen said she chose Michigan because “my family is there.”
She hopes to someday be self-employed. Her photography subject of choice that she aimed to pursue was taking wedding photos as well as senior photos. “It’s cool to take pictures at weddings. People being happy and starting their life…” On top of her goals to become a wedding and senior picture photographer, Kristen wishes to one day obtain a website to showcase her work.
Kristen believes that photography is important because “You can show people (your) different editing skills, and since technology has evolved, you have different apps and programs that can clear up your face…” She also believes that art in general is important because “It shows where you are coming from, different people use the camera in different ways and you have to decide what poses look better for different people.”
