In a day Isaac Pulido may work at Poopsies, go to school, drive and sleep. You may also find him watching “Orange is the New Black” as well. In the fall, you could find him cheer leading. Yes, he is one of the first male cheerleaders at GHS. The last male cheerleader at GHS was about 30 years ago, and just thought he must try it out.

“I did cheer leading because I wanted the bows and I wanted to be fabulous!” said Isaac Pulido. Bases are responsible for keeping their flyer in the air, as well as making sure they are safe at all times. Stunting in cheer leading has been previously referred to as building pyramid. One of the first male cheerleaders at Galena High school is the base of the pyramid, and Isaac said that he hates holding girls up, and having to look up.

He really loves his team and the coach, “Rosenthal is amazing, and is queen bee,” Pulido said. He also loves the relationships he is forging. “We are all friends and we all have fun.” Even though Isaac is the only male he feels very comfortable cheer leading, even though he is the only boy!
