Scholastic Bowl
Coach Ron Jenkins said, “I would like to nominate Quin Wells, a junior on the scholastic bowl team, for his performance at Saturday’s Masonic Academic Bowl sectional tournament. Not only did Quin have our team’s highest tossup question total, with 20 answered out of 97 heard, but he also captained the team for several matches. Quin’s knowledge and leadership played a big part in our second-place finish at the tournament. He leads our team’s scoring for the season so far, having correctly answered 118 questions, which puts him at #17 on the all-time tossup totals list for GHS. His current answering percentage of 16.9 (meaning that for every 100 questions our team hears, Quin has answered 17) is currently the 9th best for all Pirates since 2009.
