The Galena Pirates defeated the River Valley Blackhawks on Tuesday, April 16th in their first away game win with an ending score of 3-0. With a new lineup and determination the girls made the best of it.

McKenna Curran ‘20 was the only scorer that night with all three goals. She was assisted by Kristin Hall ‘21, Olivia Schafer ‘21, and Morgan McIntyre ’21. Kaileah Gornick ‘20 also had a clean sheet the entire game. “Last night we communicated very well and worked really hard as a team not just individually,” explains Curran ‘20.

The lineup was not anything comfortable like usual, but they were ultimately able to make it work. The Pirates played that team before with only a 2-1 win, so the girls wanted to have a stronger win this time which they did. The girls pulled through with a memorable win and are ready for their next game tomorrow in Richland Center.
