Johnny Heller Trap Shooting

Johnny won the male portion of the Illinois Trap Shooting Conference Galena is in with a season average of 22.40. He also finished tied for 38th place overall in the state in both male and female divisions.  Coach Brett Temperly commented, “Johnny started using a new gun this season and this has really helped his consistency.”

Kiera Linenfelser Trap Shooting

Kiera won the female portion of Galena’s conference with an average of 21.40. She also placed 9th overall for the female division in the state. Sponsor Temperly said, “Kiera has really worked on her setup and stance before shooting. This has helped her shoot her top scores this season.”

Jack Vincent 7th Grade Basketball: Vincent scored 12 combined points against Warren and Potosi for wins this week. Coach Schumacher commented, “Jack’s ability to be able to play on the wing and the post makes him tough to guard and he is an aggressive defender which has helped the Pirates to a 5-1 record.”

Baker Conley 8th Grade Basketball: Baker helped lead the 8th grade team to wins over Warren 47-32 and Potosi 50-49 last week. Coach Tancrell said, “Baker had 24 pts vs Potosi on Thursday including 15 in the second half and had 15 vs Warren on Monday leading his team to two big wins last week. Had also had several assists.”
