Congratulations to the Pirates Baseball team on securing their first conference win yesterday with a 7-2 victory over Warren/Stockton. Jacob Loso ignited the offense with two hits and two RBIs. Eli Studtmann came up big with a two-run single during a four-run second inning. Drew Koenigs earned the win on the mound, striking out seven and allowing zero earned runs over six dominant innings. Owen Hefel led a massive effort on the base paths with three stolen bases, as the team tallied six total steals. The Pirates look to keep the momentum going as they take on Warren this Thursday. Great job, Pirates!
The Galena/East Dubuque soccer team secured a fantastic 2-0 victory over Richland Center yesterday. Cléa Vantrimpont provided all the offense for the Pirates, finding the back of the net for both goals. She was assisted by Violet Doyle and Mya McCoy to help clinch the shutout win.
The NAHS City Life Art Show opens on Monday, April 13. Stop by Galena Center for the Arts from 3-5pm to see this awesome exhibit.
