Trying something new, the publications class has decided to create a cover contest this year. Requirements and deadlines can be found on this poster. Mrs. Bookless and the publications class are excited to see the new cover for their yearbook! “We dont really have anything to lose,” said Mrs. Bookless. “If we get some really good suggestions we can either use them as they’ve been submitted or ask people to do some revisions. So it’s kind of a win-win situation for the yearbook class.”

Nicole Johnson does an Italian pas de chat across the stage with an empty house. Theaters are starting to open back up now so Johnson, and other dancers, will have a live audience again. “There is nothing quite like performing in front of a live audience,” explains Nicole. “The support from the audience elevates the excitement and energy of the dancers.” Jenna and Nicole can’t wait to perform for crowds again and hope that if you bought a ticket, you enjoy their production of Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Working and waiting for their time, Sam Hesselbacher ‘21 puts up a shot as Ryan Holland ‘21 and Khalid Newton ‘21 get ready for the rebound. GHS basketball teams have been practicing without games for a few months before they got the good news that they would be able to start competing again. The players have missed being able to actually compete against other teams. “I just miss being able to compete with my teammates and playing in games,” said Ryan Holland ‘21. Thankfully, our teams are now back on the court playing the sport they love and GHS wishes them all the best of luck.
