“Star Wars Seven” signals final movie  in the Star Wars saga. When Star Wars creator, George Lucas, sold Lucasfilm to Disney for $4 billion, the Star Wars following became very excited by  the news that Disney would  be producing another Star Wars movie, the final sequel, with the help of George Lucas. Disney  began pre-production on October 30, 2012with scheduled release on December 18, 2015.

The first Star Wars movie was released in 1977, and it  quickly created a large following. From this first movie two more movies were produced, making about $1.8 trillion  in the worldwide box office and increasing the fan base. Then Lucasfilm produced a trilogy of prequels, releasing Episode I, The Phantom Menace in 1999, along with two more movies to bring in about, $2.5 trillion. In the end Lucasfilm made a total of $4.4 trillion worldwide.    

Star wars has also impacted lives of those who have watched it, “It has changed my life forever,” said Mr. Tancrell. Because of the huge difference between movies at that time, and Star Wars. Throughout the years people have enjoyed the series even though when compared to sci-fi movies today is seen to have an inferior  quality. However, at the time, the difference from the sci-fi movies to Star Wars was, “Like going from Atari to a Xbox One,” said Mr. Tancrell.

The Star wars series has also affected more than just people and fans. the series has also affected other movies. It has gained numerous  fans over the years, and inspired other movies, such as, Space Balls, or Fanboys. However all these movies all go back to the sci-fi movie series of Star Wars, In the end Star Wars seem to revolutionize the cinema and its audience, Mr Tancrell said, “Movies needed Stars Wars.”
