On Friday, April 5, the Galena Girls Varsity Soccer team took the two to nothing win over Bellevue Marquette.

The two goals were scored by McKenna Curran ‘20 and Hanna Skiston ‘19. Skiston’s goal was a penalty kick and Curran’s was a shot from twenty yards away.

Elena Garcia ‘19 had her first shutout of the season, stopping eight balls from going into the goal.

McKenna Curran said “We started the first half out a little rough, but we worked together and connected as a team to score another goal.” The girls play again at 6:00 p.m. against River Valley at home.
