Owen and Roman both played big roles in leading the Pirates to a victory over the 8th ranked Morrison Mustangs 34-9. Owen was 7-10 passing for 159 yards and 1 TD and also had 1 rushing TD. Roman had 4 catches for 118 yards, 1 TD, and defensively 1 interception. Coach Ed Freed said, “Both of these guys had huge games and were instrumental in getting us out to a good start. They had some explosive plays that really helped us to get momentum. They both are very versatile players and we are excited to see what they can do this season.”
