The newly inducted National Honor Society members hold their yellow roses and NHS pins after the induction ceremony. Students were inducted on March 14, in the GHS cafeteria. These high achieving students showed characteristics of leadership, service, good character, and academic success. “As a prior member, I am so excited to have so many new members get inducted and I am so proud of all of them,” said member Julia Townsend ‘23.

Emilee Rodriguez ‘22, Sydney Einsweiler ‘22, and Avery Engle ‘22 enjoy their delicious tacos at their Spanish Club activity on Friday, February 11. The club split up by grade to prepare four different ethnic dishes. These three senior members thoroughly enjoyed their final product. “I really liked how well the day went. It was so much fun to do this with my grade and the rest of the Spanish Club,” said Avery Engle ‘22.

Who knew making cake went hand in hand with math? The tech math class converted cake measurements into single servings to practice using math in real world situations. For the first time since 2018, the Galena Boys’ Golf Team had a player move on to the IHSA State Golf Meet.
