The GHS FFA Membership has grown over the last years. Students involved in FFA do more than people think they do. Eager to participate. The GHS Spanish Club has drawn quite the crowd of members who are actively involved. Not only has the club hosted movie nights, but also has made piñatas and Mexican food. “I love being involved in Spanish Club because it’s nice expressing the culture,” Alexa Rodriguez ‘21 said.

The Scholastic Bowl team goes head and head with the faculty staff to prepare for their upcoming tournament. Pictured, Evelyn Larson, Zach Ehrler, Henrey Larson, Lochlan Nowatzki from the scholastic team and Mrs. Siese, Mr.Noble, and Mr. Tancrell from the faculty. The scholastic bowl team won with a narrow stretched of 330-320. The faculty vs. team scholastic bowl was a fun experience.  “They have a great team.  While we all had a blast, we are ready for a rematch.  We made some beginner mistakes that we have learned from and have adjusted our approach” said Watson.

Chance Wills ‘20, Conner Einsweiller ‘19, Sophia Heisler ‘19, Lizzy Eaton ‘20, Samantha Stoffregen ‘19, Kenzie Casper ‘20, Evelyn Larson ‘19, Shea Curran ‘19, Sawyer Quick ‘19, and Abby Moyer ‘19 gather around the tree they created for Christmas gift donations. GHS students took a tag off the tree, and brought in whatever gift was on the tag, then placed their donated gift under the tree for a local family. “Helping out families in our community is one of my favorite things we do,” said Casper. “It is awesome to see all the gifts that students bring in to donate, it makes me so happy!”

Slices for Servant Leadership. Maddie Miller, Sami Wasmund, Olivia Kropp, and Mackenzie Muehleip, all class of 2020, sell slices of pizza in the morning before school. Many people, including teachers, purchase slices of pizza when they get to school in the morning. “People get so excited when they walk in the door and there is pizza being sold,” said Olivia Kropp. “When people have early classes they enjoy being able to come get pizza before the actual school day starts!”
